Digital marketing is critical for businesses in this technological age. It provides an efficient and cost-effective means of reaching a wider audience, creating brand awareness, and boosting sales to increase return on investment (ROI). It also helps businesses design ads that target a segmented customer base and measure the sustainability of ads in real-time.

The benefits businesses derive from investing in digital analytics initiatives caught my attention right from the beginning of this course. Digital analytics not only pays attention to the goals and objectives of the marketing campaign on the website but also the behavior of audiences and recommends strategies to reach out to them to boost sales for ROI. Again, the Landing Page and how the design thereof attracts and shifts audiences’ purchasing behavior to a brand was effectively dealt with in this course.
A business framework for setting goals and objectives, i.e., SMART goals, was elaborated. SMART (specific, measurable, achievable, related, and time-bound) goals are an effective method that helps businesses establish clear and attainable goals and objectives to ensure brand sustainability. Key performance indicators (KPIs) that help to measure the success of each goal were discussed. Again, actionable items that businesses must implement to advance the achievement of the goals are analyzed and discussed in detail. Last, issues that have the potential to hamper the implementation and achievement of SMART goals were identified and possible solutions were developed.

Another critical aspect of this course is social media analytics. The course discussed customer analytics and social media analytics and pursued further to review the importance of integrating the two analytics to effectively achieve the SMART goals of businesses.

To successfully accomplish the digital marketing final project, I need to review all the course activities, read the resource materials provided in this course, undertake practical exercises if available, and take the Google Analytics Certification Exam.
